Knollwood (operated by the Army Distaff Foundation, a 501(c)(3) founded 1959) is a 45-resident assisted living component of a military-affiliated Life Plan Community on Oregon Avenue NW in Ward 4, established with support from President and Mrs. Eisenhower.
